My Home Remedies Solutions

St. John's Wort can be obtained in many forms: capsules, tablets, tincture, tea, foot cream and other oil-based skin lotions.

I use it as tea, one to two cups a day. I like the dried herb, it is very aromatic, I pour boiling water over 1-2 tsp of herb and wait about 5 minutes to steep. It is very relaxant, I love it!

Herbs, in general, contain active substances that can trigger side effects and interact with other herbs, supplements, or medications. St. John's Wort is not an exception!

The interaction with other medication leads to less effectiveness of the medication or even worse, increasing of that effect. For these reasons, herbs should be taken with care. If you are under any medication, talk to your doctor prior using St. John's Wort.
